Services held for Nellie Fagerlie, 92
Funeral services for Nellie Fagerlie, 92, of Decorah, were held Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Decorah.
Mrs. Fagerlie died Jan. 6 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah.
Pastor Paul H. Christenson conducted the services. Organist was William Kuhlman, accompanying congregational singing. Burial was at the Lutheran Cemetery, with Steine Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Peter Diederick, Carleton Fagerlie, Jr., Dennis Koepp, James Steine, Richard Williams and Vincent Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Myron Riste, Bernard Williams and Leon Williams.
Nellie Williams was born Sept. 20, 1892 in Glenwood Township, a daughter of Sigvant [sic] and Mathilda (Huseby) Williams. She attended rural schools of Glenwood Township and married Hans C. Fagerlie at Glenwood Church on June 29, 1911. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1947.
Mrs. Fagerlie had lived in Glenwood Township and the Decorah area all her life. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid of First Lutheran.
Survivors include four children: Margaret DeGreve, Adeline Koepp, Carleton Fagerlie and Harley Fagerlie, all of Decorah; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, George Williams of Decorah; and a sister Alma Spilde, also of Decorah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one sister and six brothers.
